Professor Michael Ben-Gad joined City St George’s, University of London in 2007 and served as Head of its Economics Department from 2010 to 2013. He previously worked in the Research Department of the Bank of Israel, and taught at the University of Houston and the University of Haifa. Professor Ben-Gad has recently appeared on Al Jazeera, BBC, CNBC, GBNews and Sky News. After serving in the IDF Armour Corp, Professor Ben-Gad obtained his BA at Hebrew University of Jerusalem and his MA and PhD from the University of Chicago.
Louis Danker is the President of the Union of Jewish Students. He graduated from the University of Edinburgh in July 2025, receiving a First in Geography. He has spent many years advocating for Jewish students, first as Edinburgh Jewish Society President, and now at UJS. He is passionate about combatting antisemitism through embracing Jewish joy. His goal as UJS President is to define Jewish student life not by the hatred and intolerance that we face, but the resilience and pride with which we have responded.
