Nightingale Hammerson marked Dementia Awareness Week with a two-day roadshow at its Clapham home.
Stalls offered literature on prevention, treatment and research and information about the charity's approach to dementia care. Staff wore T-shirts with slogans promoting person-centred care and the importance of sufferers not being defined by their dementia.
The roadshow also included a café, a mini-cinema screening educational videos and a consultation section, where visitors could seek advice on care. An exhibition of a resident's artwork highlighted the impact dementia can have on artistic expression.
