Manchester Cricket Club began the new season in style by crushing Trinity to win the Division Three Supplementary Cup.

The new club, which was created following a merger between South Manchester and Manchester Maccabi, recorded a 77-run victory to claim its first piece of silverware.

After being put in to bat, Simon Jeffries produced an astonishing innings of 105 off 102 deliveries, while Akiva Lieberman hit a rapid 90 to help Manchester finish on 297-7 from their 40 overs.
