Mayor of London Boris Johnson has praised the work of the Community Security Trust, saying its co-operation with police is making the capital safer.
Mr Johnson acknowledged that the organisation, which monitors antisemitism in Britain, was playing a vital role in the city.
“We must combat antisemitism, nobody doubts that there is prejudice,” he said.
“The work being done by CST and the police is having a dramatic effect. You are making London a very safe city.”
Speaking at a fundraising dinner for Young CST, he urged donors to “dig deep” for the charity.

He told the audience of 250 people: “We should celebrate and endorse and support those who look after the communities of our city and prevent terrorism — that is the work of CST.”
Mr Johnson said Londoners must remain “ceaselessly and remorselessly vigilant” because the “bedrock of security is essential” to the capital’s success.
