Twelve members of LJY-Netzer, the youth movement of Liberal Judaism, have been honoured for their volunteering.
The helpful dozen each received a certificate from vinspired — a volunteering charity for 14-25-year-olds — recognising at least 100 hours devoted to helping others.
They mainly volunteered within Liberal Judaism, at camps or by otherwise supporting younger members.
Adam Rickayzen, Ben Rose, Daisy Bogod, Eric Stock, Hannah Stephenson, Jacob Talbot, James Colman, Jessica Geneen, Lily Whear, Ossie Goldhill, Safyre Couts and Sam Alston were the award winners.
“It gives me acknowledgement of the hard work I have put into LJY-Netzer,” said Ms Stephenson, who is now a movement worker.
“These young people are the future of our movement, our community and our country,” said Danny Rich, Liberal Judaism’s senior rabbi. “So to see them so active in helping others makes us very proud.”
