The Apples and Honey Nursery in Wimbledon has retained its outstanding Ofsted rating with the inspector noting its leaders’ “exceptionally high expectations” for the children and the “excellent teaching skills” of staff.
All the children made excellent progress in a “welcoming and inclusive environment”. Parents spoke of the nursery as a “family”, valuing opportunities to share in their children’s learning experiences. “For instance, staff, children and families of different faiths and beliefs come together for the weekly celebration of the Jewish Sabbath.”
Nursery principal Judith Ish-Horowicz said: “I have never read an Ofsted report as glowing. They haven’t given us any points for improvement.”
She praised her “most amazing staff, who have been together for a long time”.
