The first Progressive-led Jewish retreat for students was hosted jointly by the Reform and Liberal movements as part of an Alliance for Progressive Judaism project.

Since the turn of the year, the Liberal and Reform chaplains, rabbis Leah Jordan and Daniel Lichman, have teamed up, allowing them to reach more students than ever before.

And in collaboration with LJY-Netzer movement worker Ellie Lawson and Maya Skaarbrevik from Reform’s Jeneration initiative, they organised a Peak District retreat, which attracted participants from nine universities.

They were encouraged to connect to their Judaism through prayer and learning, to their community through training workshops and to themselves through hiking and friendships.
