Mitzvah Day made the Premier League  at Goodison Park with its first activity at a football stadium.

Before the game between Everton and Watford, donations to North Liverpool Foodbank were collected in a link-up with Fans Supporting Foodbanks, a project involving Everton and Liverpool supporters.

“It was amazing seeing so many fans of both teams taking part, showing that Mitzvah Day really is about bringing people together,” a Mitzvah Day spokesman reported.
Fans Supporting Foodbanks co-founder Ian Byrne said it had been “really rewarding” to work with Mitzvah Day.

“As well as getting lots of essential items such as pasta, rice, tinned fruit, cereals, dried milk and much more for North Liverpool Foodbank, it was also a way to educate people on what the local Jewish community do.”
