Two dozen volunteers from communities and organisations from Manchester and the surrounding areas attended the Mitzvah Day 2018 Northern launch.
They heard details of plans for this year’s day of good deeds and recounted their own stories of Mitzvah Day, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary.
The launch was held at Heathlands Village, administered by welfare charity The Fed, giving guests the opportunity to interact with residents.
Mitzvah Day executive director Dan Rickman said the turnout “reflected the diversity of the Jewish community in Manchester and beyond.
“It was great to hear people’s ideas for the months and even years ahead.”
