Maureen Kendler memorial event moved to larger venue

London School of Jewish Studies reports 'overwhelming response' to its programme to mark educator's first yahrzeit

The London School of Jewish Studies has had to move Sunday's memorial event for Maureen Kendler to a larger venue in Hendon because of demand.

The afternoon of learning in memory of the popular lecturer, who died a year ago, will feature educators from Israel, Judy Klitsner and Gila Fine, as well as interfaith activist Julie Siddiqi on a panel.

Joanne Greenaway, the new chief executive of LSJS, said "the overwhelming response" reflected the great esteem in which Ms Kendler was held.

As well as Sunday’s programme, an educational trust has been set up in her memory and a collection of her Radio 2 broadcasts, All Spoons and No Elbows, has been published.

Tickets are still available via www.lsjs.ac.uk
