In a spin for charity on Valentine's Day

articlemain

Supporters of Ohel Sarah, which helps more than 500 disabled adults and children in Israel, showed their love for the charity's One Heart programme on Valentine's Day.

Instead of a romantic meal, couples took a high energy spinning class at the CyClub studio in Hampstead Garden Suburb, raising more than £2,000.

The One Heart marriage programme allows high-functioning couples with cognitive disabilities to marry. Ohel Sarah staff prepare couples for budgeting, housekeeping and intimacy. The charity also helps those needing post-marital support.

The success of the programme has prompted a similar Arab-Israeli organisation in Tamra, Lower Galilee, to request coaching from Ohel Sarah experts on how to advise its clients.
