UJIA appoints interim chief executive

Israel regional director Natie Shevel taking temporary charge

UJIA has announced an interim CEO as the charity plans for the permanent replacement of Michael Wegier.

Natie Shevel will take on the role, having worked for UJIA for 25 years, most recently as its Israel regional director. He will work two weeks a month in Israel and a fortnight in UJIA's London office.

“As ever, there is so much going on at UJIA," he said."Our largest Israel tour cohort for five years, a new philanthropic offering through our social investment project and tens of thousands of young people both in the UK and Israel being impacted on every day. It is a huge privilege to oversee this work with a dedicated and talented team to ensure the connections between Israel and the UK continue to flourish.”
