v The Jewish chaplain in Cambridge, Rabbi Mordechai Zeller, celebrated Rosh Hashanah on a high, sounding the shofar from the tower of Great St Mary’s Church.
More than 100 people from a variety of faiths attended the shofar-blowing, part of an event organised in conjunction with Rev Devin McLachlan of Great St Mary’s.
“Since Rosh Hashanah is a holiday celebrating all of creation, we thought it would be fitting to hold a prayer led by different religious leaders promoting peace and a responsible ecological future,” Rabbi Zeller said.
