Chief Rabbi Sir Jonathan Sacks paid tribute to Bushey Synagogue volunteers at a reception at the shul. The 100 guests fulfil a variety of roles, from opening up the building in the morning and assisting with mail-shots to involvement in the pioneering Bushey Community Cares programme. Bushey chairman Paul Mendelsohn said it was good to show appreciation for the efforts of volunteers on a more personal basis.
