A bulldozer driver was shot and seriously wounded today after apparently deliberately ramming into a police car and a bus in Jerusalem. The bus, according to Zaka volunteers, was full of girls dressed in carnival costumes on the way to Hadassah Hospital to cheer up the patients before Purim.
Eyewitness Shuli Cohen said that the man had used the blade at the front of his bulldozer to flip the police car. The two officers inside were slightly hurt.
Police shot and wounded the driver after the incident, which took place near the popular Malcha shopping centre in south Jerusalem,.
This is the third such attack in Jerusalem city centre, but the first in which there have been no deaths or serious injuries.
