Broughton Jewish Cassel Fox Primary held its first Music Fest, attracting more than 150 people to a performance at Salford University's major concert hall. Music workshops showcasing local Jewish talent were also held at the school during the two-day event. Professional klezmer group Shir trained pupils to play with them for a joint performance at Salford University's Peel Hall. The event's organiser and school music teacher, Miriam Alper, said: "It boosted the place of music in people's imagination."
