"My particular flawed pedigree and personality"

This was how Colonel Desmond Travers - Goldstone Commissioner - at last responded tonight (in a committee room in the UK Parliament) to the question of why he thinks that "British foreign policy is strongly influenced by Jewish lobbyists" (he said it in an interview with Middle East Monitor last month). Mind you, it took several attempts to get him to answer the question, both tonight and at LSE on 8 March:

Again Travers used the 'Tonge Manoeuvre': sow the seed of something outrageous about Israel without actually committing yourself to saying it happened. Tonight it was DIME weapons: Travers suspected these were used though he has no proof. (They weren't). And uranium, in bombs to blow up tunnels (it wasn't).
