● How you met
Through a dating website. I sent Daniel a message and we emailed for three weeks before going on a first date in Elstree. I remember thinking he was very gentlemanly. He hated the green beret that I was wearing — I still have it!

● The proposal
Daniel planned a surprise holiday to Barcelona during the October 2008 half-term. We stayed in the most gorgeous boutique hotel and although it rained for the first three days, we still managed to have the most amazing time. On day four, Daniel booked a flamenco dancing and dinner show (the oldest running in Barcelona), during which my dad was texting me Spurs v Arsenal updates. After the show we went up into the mountains to a bar that overlooked the entire city. When Spurs were 3-4 down, Daniel asked me to be his wife. He gave me the most beautiful ring which he had designed himself. After I said yes, I checked my phone and Spurs had equalised — we were even more excited.

● The wedding
The ceremony and party will be at Pendley Manor in Tring and our honeymoon will be in Kerala in India. Daniel’s family originate from Mumbai so he is very excited about the trip.
