Working together for a better Israel

As the JPR poll revealed, most British Jews favour a two-state solution and view the toxic settlement enterprise as an obstacle to peace. A majority -- 52 per cent -- are in favour of talks with Hamas if it would bring peace.
Well now we have an organisation for this majority who view the two-state solution as being the only way to maintain Israel as a Jewish and democratic state - Yachad. Hopefully, more will be revealed about the time of the webelieveinisrael conference, which will bring together such disparate groups as the Zionist Federation and the New Israel Fund. Well, maybe not so disparate, since the two organisations are wotking hand-in-hand- to alleviate the discrimination against Israel's non-Jewish minority through UK Taskforce.
This poll was, of course, deeply flawed, since it was about attitudes to Israel, so only those with an attitude towards Israel -- good or bad -- participated. It was also an online poll, so it was self-selecting. And the biggest finding, that British Jews "care" about Israel, is suspect since "care" is such a nebulous term. Even the anti-Zionists "care" about Israel, but perhaps not in the same way as Zionists. Also, anyone with a little knowledge of the internet could have skewed the results by being surveyed from behind proxies.
But be that as it may, now there is a voice for the majority.
