Vera Lynns win 2-1

Yesterday afternoon at Regents Park, the Vera Lynns won a good game against the Ultramarines in a game played under windy conditions. Player Manager Jonny Erdman scored an equaliser and Richard Mansell scored the winning goal in the second half. The wind favoured Ultramarines in the first half and they played very well particularly in midfield. They scored first off a deflection in the first half. In the second half, Vera Lynns dominated what was a fast paced game, which was very well controlled by the Referee.
This was the first match of the season and some new players have joined the team. Jonny Erdman hopes to build on this success and is looking forward to the team wearing the new strip sponsored by ZigZag. Any one interested in playing football on Sundays with a good team please get in touch.
