Like Millis the cage rattler Derfner has jumped into print without reading what the Boycott Law says. Fortunately for us but unfortunately for him he will not be able to sue the Rabbis who are trying to maintain the sanctity of the Holyland because they are not covered by the Boycott Law. Once again we see the left running around like headless chickens and wetting their pants at the thought that there are now consequences for biting the hand that feeds you.
Millis and those like him have shown themselves as haters of Israel for not being able to convince people of what they misguidedly believe is the rightness of withdrawing from Judea and Samaria he would rather those living there suffer economic deprivation and goodness knows what else a boycott would engender. We don't hate you Millis we pity you and all who think like you. Do you think that the Stephen Sizer's of this world will discriminate between what was manufactured in Meshor Adumim and Kiryat Gat - if the Jews are boycotting their own people then what is wrong with us doing it too? - and that includes Jewish businesses in the UK that support Israel - Millis you should therefore really be careful what you wish for.
What this law actually means is that you can in Israel as in any other democratic state mouth off as long and as loud as you like but in view of the existential threats under which Israel has to operate if you employ bully tactics by threatening to boycott your Israeli opponents in order to silence them you may now have to pay for the privilege.
And then we see what Derfner fears most - being ostracised. It seems he'd rather Israel be dead than ostracised. Does he really believe that the world will love us more if we commit suicide by giving in to every demand the Palestinians make - the list getting longer by the day? Does he support the fabricated "right of return" and the re-division of Jerusalem? Once we've agreed to all those demands they'll just produce a new list with even more outrageous demands and the World will tell us we have to agree to them to make the world safer for them if not they'll ostracise us some more. Fortunately most Israelis see through this and that only by standing up to these bully tactics will Israel be secured.
