Ironic that during WW2 ,The Vatican was also silenced by The Nazis, so one might conclude that it is business as usual in Rome.
It is evident that appeasement of the Islamists has become endemic. In PC Britain, any criticism is dubbed Islamophobic and as a result, self-censorship has become the norm. Our politicians, moreover, are loath to explain the nature of the threat, preferring to ally The UK with the Islamic regime in Turkey in its latest Jihad against Israel.
So, of course, The Vatican's response is symptomatic of this crisis of courage. Yes, it is best, to once again blame.... The Jews.

Robert Spencer writes: "On October 31, jihadists stormed a church in Baghdad and murdered over thirty people. This was, of course, just the latest of a large number of jihad attacks against Christians in Iraq over the last few years.
Yet the Vatican Synod singled out Israel, where Christians live with more freedom and peace than they enjoy in any majority-Muslim country. Now Monsignor Robert Stern explains that that was because they were afraid to speak out against the depredations of jihad, for fear of reprisals."
