Do we laugh hysterically at some of the statements that our kids come out with because they're funny, or because we'd love to still enjoy the innocence and honesty of youth?
I couldn't help but laugh on Sunday, when Ilan responded to his swimming teacher about a having lesson around Christmas time, with the following: "I'm Jewish. I don't celebrate Christmas!"
Firstly, I was amazed that he'd put the two together and remembered (I later found out he'd discussed it with Mummy recently). And secondly, I just thought 'I wish I and all adults could be so forthcoming and honest when responding to people in our day-to-day lives'.
Meanwhile, on 'Michal watch', she was introduced to the corporate world today, with visits to Mummy and Daddy's respective offices. Having been angelic at Mummy's office for 2.5 hours, she introduced herself to my colleagues with a 'special greeting'...needless to say, it was the first time ever that a nappy had been changed in our office!!
