The chicken soup myth

I thought I would write a little about chicken soup.

I have recently had a very bad cold and of course being a Jewish mother and a Jewish daughter I have grown up on the chicken soup myth. And do you know every time I get sick somebody says "let's make you some chicken soup".

This is supposed to be Jewish penicillin. The cure and the treatment of all illnesses. The only thing that you were supposed to have when you are poorly.

No right minded jewish mother would ever let their child suffer without having a bowl of their home-made chicken soup.
