Palin uses term 'blood libel'

Today Sarah Palin shot herself in the foot, telling the world that those questioning her use of cross hairs were guilty of 'blood libel'...This is a typical response from the US diaspora:

“The blood libel is something anti-Semites have historically used in Europe as an excuse to murder Jews – the comparison is stupid. Jews and rational people will find it objectionable,” said Hank Sheinkopf, a New York-based Democratic political consultant and devout Jew. “This will forever link her to the events in Tucson. It deepens the hole she’s already dug for herself… It’s absolutely inappropriate.”

In 2008 I wrote about Palin when Miriam Shaviv was writing in the JC - and noted that ultimately, the likes of Shaviv would not want to support Palin too much...
Some commentators on my blog seem rather broiges with me for my anti-Palin stance, but I think I have this one spot on. Palin ought to go back to Alaska and leave us all alone. Any comments?
