If you wondered, even for a moment, about the near international condemnation of Israel's decision to build 900 new homes in the settlements, then ponder on the support given to the policy by none other than Sarah Palin.
Yes, the Republican Party's erstwhile Great White Hope told Barbara Walters on ABC News: "I believe that the Jewish settlements should be allowed to be expanded upon, because that population of Israel is, is going to grow. More and more Jewish people will be flocking to Israel in the days and weeks and months ahead. And I don't think that the Obama administration has any right to tell Israel that the Jewish settlements cannot expand".
We knew from her outings last year with Katie Couric that Palin had, at best, a flimsy grasp of foreign policy. Please, Sarah. Stay in Alaska. Cook moose, or whatever the hell you do there. Please shut up about settlements in your desperate attempt to lay a glove on the White House.
