Last night I was at this meeting at the House of Commons:

Richard Millett will blog about the meeting in detail. Suffice it to say that both Jeremy Corbyn and Gerald Kaufman got their facts wrong. Corbyn did not seem to know that Israeli PM Netanyahu froze settlement building for ten months in November 2009 in the interests of peace but Mahmoud Abbas refused to come to the table. Kaufman seemed to think that the Co-Op has imposed a full boycott of goods from Israel. It has not - rather, it is refusing to do business with four companies who handle goods from Judea and Samaria.
But since when did they ever care about the facts ...
But the most astonishing part of the meeting happened at the end. The House of Commons police are always present outside the room for these meetings. As I left the room the policeman asked to speak to me. He told me that he had been told that I had said at the meeting that the MPs were supporting terrorism by allowing terrorist supporters into Parliament. Of course I said nothing of the sort (but so what if I had?). I only spoke once at the meeting - to point out Corbyn's error to him.
Of course I had no difficulty convincing the policeman that he had been fed a pack of lies - the police are used to this from the anti-Israel people.
Crude vexatious lawfare from the Israel haters. No surprise there then.....
