It appears that Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat has agreed to seal an Israeli settler home in occupied East Jerusalem -- at the price of demolishing 200 Arab ones he deems illegally built.
What Mr Barkat and no doubt his supporters at home and abroad omit to mention that it is nigh-on impossible for East Jerusalem Arabs to get building permits, thus forcing them out of the city if they do not build "illegally". Jews, on the other hand, get building permits quite quickly and settlers get preferential treatment.
