As part of Warwick University’s “One World Week”, members of the Jewish Israeli Society performed live in the student union’s World Music Concert alongside the Israeli hip-hop violinist, Miri Ben-Ari.

The performers began by singing “Shir LaShalom” — a song for peace — and ended with an energetic rendition of “Salaam”, gaining a standing ovation from the 500 students. Former president of Warwick University Jsoc, Michael Hagai, said: “In spite of all the tensions on campus, it made us feel proud to be Jewish and supporting Israel, as our performance, led by an Israeli-born Jew, was so well received.”
