Well, at last we have seen justice done on Strictly Come Dancing. After weeks of successfully playing on the sympathy vote, Craig has been voted out.
We are now down to the really serious dancers, and it is a great pleasure to watch how they grow in confidence and style each week. The outcome is still too early to call but my guess is that the final three will include Ricky Whittle, Ali Bastion and probably Natalie Cassidy.
Ricky and Natalie
What a fantastic Tango these two performed; sharp, precise and aggressive, just the way I have been taught. It was almost perfect.
Natalie and Vincent
Dancing the Quickstep, Natalie never disappoints. I love to watch people who put everything they can into their dance routines and really show that they are learning and improving.
Jade and Ian
Jade has made such a vast improvement over the past few weeks. As well as being lovely to look at and very elegant, she is now also performing the dances properly. The Jive is difficult for a tall person but she did extremely well.
Ali and Brian
Their Viennese Waltz was absolutely perfect and romantic and they really deserved their perfect 40 points.
Ricky and Erin
The Salsa is a very difficult dance to do well, as it is very fast and requires a lot of control from the guy. Ricky really tries hard; I don’t think he deserved the scathing comments he received from the judges.
Laila and Anton
Their Paso Doble was very correct and well executed....and yet.... Laila is improving, but she fails to excite me.
Phil and Katya
I found Phil’s Rumba performance wooden; he was just stepping and waving his arms about. It is a dance that sometimes makes men get self-conscious as they are supposed to look romantic. Phil is much better at Ballroom steps.
Chris and Ola
Fantastic Foxtrot – beautiful posture and control. Well done, Chris.
Craig and Flavia
Well, Craig made it to Blackpool, but I shared Alesha’s disappointment that he was still there when Zoe was out. It will take a long time and an enormous amount of lessons to turn him into a dancer if he decides to stick with it.
