Flicking through the newly reincarnated London Evening Standard, with former Tatler editor Geordie Greig at the helm, my eye is caught by the by-line of its fairly well-known housing and architecture writer, Mira Bar-Hillel.
Apparently, the Standard now requires her to be by-lined "Israeli Affairs Commentator"by virtue of having been born in Israel. I do hope we are going to see a lot more of this expertise scattered around the paper. I look forward, certainly, to a "French Affairs Commentator", although I expect the qualifications to be a little different.
