Coexistence efforts not welcome in Jenin?

Here’s a disheartening story, on a very depressing day, from today's Haaretz:

Wafa Younis, a musician from northern Israel who founded a youth orchestra in the Jenin refugee camp, was arrested there on Tuesday by Fatah militants and sent back to Israel from the West Bank. Last week the orchestra played for Holocaust survivors and elderly Arabs in Holon, news that ignited passions in Jenin.

It’s particularly disheartening because of Jenin’s reputation for its well-trained and effective police and security forces. Ehud Barak is on record as saying that it could be the model for other West Bank cities, although Israeli security forces have said that while the fight against crime is impressive in Jenin, terror groups like Hamas are still a threat.
