As you gather with family and friends to mark Rosh Hashanah, I want to send you all my warmest wishes for the New Year.
The Jewish community is woven into the everyday life of our country — in business, culture, service, and family. Britain is richer for it.
This year has not been easy. Rising antisemitism at home and threats abroad have caused deep concern. The plight of hostages still held in Gaza is a reminder of the cruelty we must never ignore. Their release must be a global priority. Britain must never turn its back on its Jewish citizens or on Israel. The Conservative Party will always stand with you, confronting antisemitism wherever it appears and defending your right to live proudly and safely in our country.
