Broadcaster Vanessa Feltz has called on young Jews to make greater efforts to spend time with their grandparents.
She urged people to "buck up their ideas and go and see their grandparents immediately".
The Radio 2 presenter was reacting to a World Jewish Relief survey that showed that one-third of adult Jews see their grandparents only four times a year or less.
"I'm utterly shocked. The results are a crying shame," she said.
