"When I was growing up we saw my grandparents at least once a week. I would go to my Grandma Zibbles on Friday night for dinner and Grandma Babs on Sunday. I adored them.
"I don't even think once a week is enough."
Ms Feltz, whose second grandchild is expected to be born this week, has been named Celebrity Grandparent of the Year in a poll of the public, commissioned by restaurant company Table Table.
She beat contenders including the Queen, Great British Bake Off presenter Mary Berry and Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn.
She said: "This has given me the most naches. I'm absolutely pleased to have beaten all of them. To have beaten the Queen to smithereens and to be crowned the best booba is just fabulous."
She added that she sees her one-year-old grandson, Zeke, at least once a day.
"As soon as he was born I said, 'Don't let me die. I want to live to 100.' I feel so grateful to have him and so lucky.
"You think about the refugee crisis and these children separated from their grandparents and you just want every baby to have the love of a grandparent and the stability.
"I think it is important to nurture the relationship."
