Glynne has said she feels "sick" that the advert and her song has been used to advocate deportation. On Instagram, she wrote that the song "is about love, unity and spreading positivity — never about division or hate".
Zoe Lister, the artist who does the advert's voiceover has also commented the White House's meme. Speaking to the BBC, she said she would "never condone my voiceover being used" to promote what she called "Trump and his abhorrent policies".
She continued: "The Jet2 meme has spread a lot of joy and humour around the world but the White House video shows that Trump has neither."
X users have reacted to the White House's video post. One said: "Whatever side you're on regarding deportation, you have to admit the official White House account shouldn't be posting s*** like this."
Another wrote: "If you want to deport illegals, fine. But doing something like this is so s***ty and makes this administration look like a bunch of a***h***."
