The Bronx Palestine Solidarity Committee claimed credit for the vandalism.
Posting photos of the damage on X/Twitter, Torres said: “On Christmas Day, anti-Israel extremists vandalised my Bronx Office with red paint, symbolising blood.
“Covered in “blood” is a doll meant to symbolise Jesus, whom the vandals describe as a “Palestinian child messiah.”
“The escalation in intimidation and incitement against Members of Congress feels like it is heading in a dangerous direction.
“I, for one, will not be intimidated.”
Torres has emerged as one of Congress’ staunchest advocates for Israel in the wake of the October 7 attack, voicing his opposition to advocates’ calls for a ceasefire in the region.
He has also denounced the spread of antisemitism on American college campuses.
