Artists are being urged to submit proposals for an annual collaborative project between Britain and Israel. The Bi Arts programme was first run in 1995 and is now being relaunched. Alan Gemmell, director of British Council Israel, said: “The new scheme will allow more people in Britain to appreciate the work being developed and seen in Israel, and vice versa.” The move comes in the wake of a study showing a decline in Britain’s cultural influence in Israel.
