Two men have been arrested in connection with two antisemitic incidents in London in the last 48 hours.

Police in Tower Hamlets made an arrest in Dunbridge Street, Bethnal Green on Monday, after a man reportedly yelled “f***ing Jew” at a Jewish passer-by, before brandishing a knife and chasing him down the street, shouting further antisemitic epithets.

Tower Hamlets Police confirmed that they had arrested a 34-year-old man "for a racially aggravated public order offence. A knife was recovered from the suspect who remains in custody."

On Sunday, police in Hackney arrested a suspect on Filey Avenue, Cazenove, in connection with reports that a man screamed abuse at young Jewish boys and their mothers outside the local Satmar school, shouting “I will kill all you Jews.” Orthodox schools often operate lessons on a Sunday.

The man who was arrested was stopped by the local Shomrim Orthodox neighbourhood watch, which posted an image of police officers carrying out the arrest, handcuffing the suspect and leading him away while the children watched from 100 yards away.
