Dan Cade has landed himself a new biblical TV role, but one his JFS education is unlikely to have prepared him for.

He plays Roman centurion Cassius, who has a hand in the crucifixion story in NBC's new series A.D. The Bible Continues. It launched in the United States on Sunday for Easter and is due for release here later this year.

The 33-year-old actor from North London, who began his career in action films thanks to his passion for martial films, says he had to swot up on the New Testament to research the part.
