The desecration of a war memorial involving Nazi graffiti has been condemned by MPs.

Vandals drew swastikas and comments praising the Nazis on the British Thomson Houston memorial in Rugby, Warwickshire.

The memorial pays tribute to 418 workers from an engineering company based in the town, who lost their lives in both world wars.

Rugby MP Mark Pawsey raised the "alarming" attack in the House of Commons during a debate last Thursday.
