Supermodel Karlie Kloss converts to Judaism

She is to marry Joshua Kushner, the brother of Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner

She is most familiar with run ways and cover shoots but now supermodel Karlie Kloss can add an in-depth knowledge of Judaism to her list of skills.

According to People magazine, Ms Kloss, 25, converted to Judaism last month ahead of her marriage to Joshua Kushner, the brother of President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner.

The couple have been dating for six years and Ms Kloss, is expected to have a Jewish wedding when she marries.

Mr Kushner, 33, proposed to the model a few weeks ago and she is not the first to convert to Judaism in order to be part of the Kushner clan.

Jared Kushner’s wife and the president’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, also converted before the couple wed in 2009.

In preparation for Jewish life Ivanka studied with New York-based Orthodox rabbi Haskel Lookstein.

Ms Kloss shared a loving picture of the her husband-to-be on Instagram with a message, saying she loved him "more than words can express".

She wrote: “Josh, you’re my best friend and my soulmate. I can't wait for forever together. ”

The pairing should make for some interesting discussions in the Trump and Kushner households.

Ms Kloss was proud supporter of Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, and also demonstrated on the Women’s March in 2017 after Trump’s inauguration.
