It is a trip of a lifetime — a two-year global jaunt to visit all 962 of the World Heritage Sites.
Destinations include Masada, the old quarter of Acre, the White City of Tel Aviv (famed for its Bauhaus buildings, below), the biblical site of Megiddo and the rose city of Petra.
It is being offered by VeryFirstTo, the website for luxury pastimes founded by former Young Jewish Care chairman Marcel Knobil, who promises “one of the most thrilling, memorable and inspiring experiences that a couple could ever wish for”.
But it will cost you the earth — £990,000 to be precise.
Marcel says that inquiries have already come from three people. Your diarist, alas, was not one of them.
