Lord Sugar, who quit Labour after its electoral defeat last year in protest at its "negative business policies", has taken a further step away from the party. The star of BBC's The Apprentice has accepted the Conservative government's invitation to become its "enterprise tsar" – the role he once occupied when Gordon Brown was Prime Minister.
