Lady Kitty Spencer, a niece of the late Princess Diana, has married multi-millionaire Jewish fashion tycoon Michael Lewis.

The pair were wed in a lavish, star-studded ceremony that took place in Italy over the weekend.

Mr Lewis, 62, is chairman of the South African listed Foschini Group.

The retail clothing group owns more than 3,000 stores and is headquartered near Cape Town.

In 2011, Mr Lewis and his family donated £3 million to Oxford University to fund a Professor of Israel Studies.

The fashion tycoon also founded and formerly served as chairman of the Israeli biotech company ProChon Biotech Ltd.

According to the magazine People, attendees at Mr Lewis and Lady Spencer’s wedding included the bride’s sisters, Eliza and Amelia, Viscountess Emma Weymouth and her husband Ceawlin Thynn, the pop star Pixie Lott, and Sabrina Dhowre Elba, wife of the actor Idris Elba.
