An Irish priest who saved 6,500 Jews during the Holocaust will be recognised with a new posthumous humanitarian award.

Monsignor Hugh O'Flaherty, described as "Ireland's Oskar Schindler", hid Jews in a network of safe houses and monasteries across Rome.
