Police have released new CCTV images of two men they wish to speak over the murder in north London of a 22-year-old aspiring lawyer a year ago.

Sven Badzak - who was born to a Jewish father - was stabbed in Willesden Lane in Kilburn at around 5.40pm on February 6 2021.

A then 16-year-old boy was also allegedly stabbed.

Sven's mother, Jasna Badzak, said that he had been buying orange juice and filled bagels before the attack.

She described him at the time as a “kind and most gentle” personality.

A student at Roehampton University, he aspired to become a lawyer and had been a pupil at the prestigious Wetherby’s private school.

Three men have been charged but the force believes several suspects remain outstanding.

Images released on Thursday were captured near the scene shortly before the killing.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Rogers, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said: “More than a year has passed since this horrific incident that took a young man from his family and our investigation remains ongoing.

“Sven’s family deserve justice and we will not rest until we identify those responsible and bring them all before the courts.

“We would ask anyone – especially those in Kilburn and the wider area near where the incident took place – to take a careful look at these images to check whether you know who these males are and if you saw them in the vicinity of Willesden Lane on 6 February 2021.”

Anybody with information is asked to call police on 101, tweet @MetCC quoting CAD 5580/06FEB21 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
