An online travel agent says it will add Israel to its list of destinations after a complaint from a customer who was told he couldn't book a holiday there.
Surrey-based Travel Republic, which has two million clients a year, offers flights and hotels in beach resorts across the world, including Egypt, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates.
But when grandfather Michael Dashwood tried to book a trip to Israel to visit his family, he was told "to go to somebody else", he said.
Mr Dashwood, from north London, contacted the JC, who raised the issue with Travel Republic.
Chief marketing officer Elliott Pritchard claimed Israel was not listed due to a lack of demand, but said he was now planning to add the country to their list of destinations.
He denied Israel had been omitted as a result of pressure from the boycotters or owing to security concerns.
He said: "It was a commercial decision. We go on demand from customers. I am not aware if Israel has been featured on our website in the past, but it is something we are planning to add."
But Mr Dashwood said: "Of course there is demand. They just do not want to deal with Israel."
