Ilford Federation Synagogue has launched a competition to find the "Young Shaliach Tzibbur" of the year. Anyone aged 18-40 can audition by leading prayers one Shabbat morning for the Essex community.
Ilford's Rabbi Alex Chapper said, "We want our community to be inspired by tefillah."
A prize of £500 is at stake in return for six visits to daven at the shul during the year.
