Did you know that the average British woman will marry their 11th sexual partner? But does “Mr Eleven” always equal Mr Right? Television producer Nicola Larder attempts to find out in her latest creation, Mr Eleven.

To be screened on ITV 1 early next year, the drama-comedy has ex-EastEnder Michelle Ryan, Sean Maguire (Grange Hill, EastEnders) and Adam Garcia (Coyote Ugly) caught in a love triangle.

Thirty-year-old Miss Larder, believed to be the youngest drama producer at independent production company, Tiger Aspect, tells People: “There was a statistic that most women in the UK will settle down with their 11th partner and I thought this would make an interesting premise for a romantic drama. I created an idea and pitched it to my boss and ITV.”

She got the go-ahead around a year ago and finished shooting the programme this summer.

“It was the best experience of my life. I had worked my way to a point where I thought: ‘Wow, this is what it’s all about.’ I fell in love with producing.”

Graduating from Reading University in 2000, Miss Larder got a job as a receptionist for a drama company before working her way up the ranks to becoming a script editor.

She worked on shows including BBC’s Holby City and New Tricks, and Dream Tream, on Sky One.

In 2005, she joined Tiger Aspect, whose credits include Robin Hood, Murphy’s Law and the Catherine Tate Show. Ms Larder recently earned herself a place on the Courvoisier The Future 500 list, in recognition of talented entrepreneurs and achievers from across the UK.

She adds: “Mr Eleven gave me a taste for what I want to do in my career. It’s a confident cheeky drama — something to enjoy in these difficult times.”

Ms Larder lives in Islington, North London.
