Hostility towards Israel among the British public has dropped over the past couple of years, according to a survey conducted by foreign affairs think tank Chatham House and Yougov.
Respondents were asked to say which countries they felt favourable and unfavourable towards.
In 2010, Israel was the fourth most disliked out of 19 listed non-European countries, with a negative 32 per cent score: this year, it had fallen to sixth place with 17 per cent. Over the same period, its favourable rating rose from four to five per cent, leaving it in eighth place in this year’s table.
